Francisco Alonso (1887-1948), born in Granada but soon adopted by Madrid, was an extraordinarily popular composer in the first half of the 20th century, who cultivated almost all genres, with a very wide production and a great adaptation to musical, scenic and technical novelties that were emerging in his time.
