Lyric poem for baritone, male chorus and band, with text by Aureliano del Castillo.

Gypsy Dance (1909). Available in BNE

Composed for the Trío Iberia -guitarra, bandurria and lute-, this “Gypsy Dance” was premiered in Paris in 1909. It was awarded by the Círculo de Bellas Artes de Madrid and in 1914, edited by Casa Dotesio.

Un patio del Albaycín (1910). Full score in CDMA

In 2012, the Junta de Andalucía, with the coordination of the Musical Documentation Center of Andalusia, ordered the recovery of the score of the score Un patio del Albaicín, with an original of 1910, to Gabriel Delgado, artistic director of the Joven Orquesta Sinfónica de Granada.

The edition of the same is accompanied by a critique and detailed study of the composition of Maestro Alonso in which Coral Morales-Villar, Gabriel Delgado Morán and Ana Luque Fernández participated.

Long live Graná! (1914)

Pasodoble flamenco for piano, published in 1914.
Dedicated “To my distinguished friend Mr. José Morote”.
There are versions for band and for piano and string quintet.

Curro el de Lora (Bolero) (1925)

Symphonic page belonging to the zarzuela of the same title, as an intermezzo of the second act. With a wonderful rhythm of bolero, it is an example of the ability of Maestro Alonso to create music rooted in our most attractive musical past. It is worth listening to this bolero, in which, in addition, it is possible to notice the very rich instrumental palette of the composer from Granada.

Nana Murciana (1947). Available in BNE

Delicious lullaby, inspired by the music of the Murcian garden, in which is asked to protect the Virgen de la Fuensanta, patron saint of Murcia, for a child. The text was written by Luis Fernández Ardavín.

This version belongs to the album “Romanas y dúos de Zarzuela”, with the interpretation of the Malaga Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Juan de Udaeta.
