Set in Madrid, at the time of the premiere, Las guapas is a typical variety show, with a lot of different scenes, spicy and yet graceful in terms of the dialogue and cheerful music, catchy and consistent at every moment.
Twenty times the curtain was raised after two and a half hours of show, thanks to numbers like the “Pasacalle de los Pepe-Hillos”, a black-botton, an Argentine zamba, a charleston, the number of Russian buttons, dances interpreted by La Yankee and a chotis starring Celia Gámez and Lino Rodríguez.
